Theatre is an integrated discipline, depending on the use of visual, vocal, musical, athletic and very importantly, collaborative elements. The success of any production lies on how such elements are brought together and more importantly how the people involved work with each other. Each young person working with BNTA will be expected to embrace their individual responsibility, whilst remaining a part of and strengthening the team. Theatre provides a method for learning about the arts within a structured environment, where stories and ideas should evolve. It can also provide a means for understanding life's experiences, developing identity and a sense of achievement and self worth.
BNTAs program will give young people an opportunity to work with working professionals in their field of work. It is a unique experience - the teachers are more than teachers, they are mentors. The classes will combine drama with dance and acrobatics. Young people will learn how to use their bodies and voice expressively.
